Hello, everyone. Here I have what I thik was the most important aspects of the interview. Feel free to comment and share with me your opinions 😄
For audio 2.-
- Does he think technology makes good communication easier?
Technology is very useful when communicating,
but that doesn’t mean that it makes it better, it may make it better, but it
can also make it worse if it isn’t used wisely. Using technology is not enough
to create effective communication.
- What four key points does Alastair make about communication?
* People have limited attention. This means you must be very
assertive in what you want to say and how you express it, because it may have
the impact you were waiting for, but if you’re not careful enough it may turn
otherwise.
* Recognize communication is about meaning. It is not necessary to give a lot
of information or data that doesn’t help to what you want to say or where you
want to get, if you can make it simple, that is the best option. The best way
to get people to understand you is to be practical and brief and get straight
to the point without rambling too much.
*
People have limited attention. There must be a balance on what is being
said with what you’re being told. Feedback is very important if you want to
have an effective communication. Remembering that you are trying to get an
exchange of opinions and ideas on what you’re telling, the point is not to have
a monologue, is about creating a discussion.
* There must be emotional connection. If you want to really have an
effective communication and create this kind of connection with the recipients.
Making something different for the recipients to have their attention placed on
what your saying is the key to have a healthy exchange of ideas and communicate
effectively.
For audio 3.-
Technology and communication.
For this example, Alastair centers on Amazon, it
used technology as a form to be in touch and get closer with their customers.
They always make sure you know what is going on with them and with the relation
that is created with you. Also, they always make sure to listen to you and
watch your needs and your likes, so it makes the customers create a bond with
Amazon.
For audio 4.-
- What mistakes did the company make?
Making a voice message to try to answer the
questions or the complains a customer might have, and that places a barrier for
an effective communication. It may make the customers uncomfortable.
- How could they have improved the customer experience?
Keeping in touch with the customers, creating
that bond of trust and really listen to what they have to say and not expect or
wanting to prevent what your clients want.
I think that this interview helps us a lot to realize how other aspects of communication impact more, that although technology is important today, it is not always the most necessary.
ResponderBorrarThanks for sharing :)
I agree with everything, especially with the response about Amazon, because it's essential for them to build a bond with us so that we trust them and choose to buy their products.
ResponderBorrarperfect, very good job, and I share with you the second point, that in any organization or personally there must be emotional connection so that they flow ideas and thoughts between both people or between groups. :)
ResponderBorrarI agree with you in audio 3, because it is very important for the company to attend to the problems of their customers.
ResponderBorrarI agree with your answers, I think that as they say in the video it is very important that feelings are involved in the communication and know how to listen in order to receive the message in the right way.
